Sewa

WHAT IS SEWA?
Sewa or ‘selfless service’ is a principle advocated by all religions faiths.
In Hindu Dharma, in particular, our ancient seers have gone in great depth into this principle and have laid down guidelines which are distinctive features of Hindu thought and philosophy.
There are several motives that inspire individuals to do sewa such as compassion, humanity or sympathy. As the name suggest it is an act which is selfless therefore should be done without expectation of recognition, return or fame and it should not destroy confidence and self respect of the receiver.
Sewa is not only about raising money, it should be active and from the heart. A small act of sewa can go a long way even if its as small as a hug!
