About

Aston Hindu society is one of the largest & most active societies not only at Aston University, but also in the UK.

It is important to educate ourselves in our culture & religion, which is why Aston Hindu Society believes in providing every member with a unique chance to engage their university experience with Hindu culture in a social, educational & spiritual way, while prompting unity amongst the Hindu youth at Aston. We have done this through a range of dynamic events and activities from our weekly Aarti, sports events and festival celebrations, to our annual charity Diya show, a showcase of Aston talent, which was awarded event of the year by Aston student guild.

We believe that through our unique culture & upbringing, each member will bring a unique contribution to the society which will broaden the horizons of our members.

Being a part of the National Hindu Student Forum (NHSF), the largest body for Hindu students in Europe, shows how Aston Hindu Society is part of a collective group who believe in protecting, preserving, practicing and promoting Hindu dharma and its culture.

We also come together with Hindu societies from other universities to organise events such as our collaboration with Birmingham University to host Ujala, a Diwali celebration, packed with dances and drama.

Our goal is to be a Home away from home while at Aston University and we have done this by building a strong society who are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable on a broad range of issues from day to day life at university, to helping you unlock your spiritual side.

Our motto is simple ENGAGE, EXPERIENCE, INSPIRE.

We engage together, experience something new and inspire one another
